I have tried so many bat names that I’ve been forced to name my pet “Bassie.
The name Bassie is a reference to the character in the movie, “The Wicker Man” from director Mel Gibson’s film, “Braveheart,” called Captain Jack Thane. I think Bassie is a really cute name, and I’m sure my parents will love having a little one around the house as much as I do.
That is, unless you want to play a game where Bassie can’t see the difference between the letter “j” and “f”.
Bassie (as in Jack Thane) is a different name than the one I was thinking of, but I’m glad you mentioned it because it was something that I was considering. Bassie (as in Jack Thane) is the name of a character in the movie, Braveheart, about the man who survived the Battle of Britain and his role in the Battle of Culloden.
Bassie is another character in the movie The Battle of Britain, and I would argue that if you look at the movie as a whole, he is also a very different character than the one who is in the Braveheart book. Just because he goes by the same name in the movie, doesn’t mean that he is the same character as the one I was thinking of.
Bassie is a character from the movie Braveheart, who has the same name as another character (that I am not really familiar with). In the book, he is another character who went by the name of Bassie Campbell. He is also a character from the movie The Battle of Britain. He is not a character from the movie Braveheart.
I don’t know if you’ve heard of the ‘pet bat’ phenomenon, but if you have, it’s basically a phenomenon where a bat (usually a black-spotted one) has a different name to its parent, but it is the same bat. I know this because it happened to me and I was a bit confused, so I went on the internet and checked.
In the book, Bassie is a British soldier who was a pet bat for an American sergeant who was a pet bat for, well… its not spelled right. He is actually the only American soldier to have a pet bat in the film with only the one named Bassie. When the sergeant died, Bassie was his only pet bat. It is implied that he was a pet bat for several other soldiers in the film.
The book is also set in the present day so that’s a good reason to name a pet bat after it. Of course, then you wind up with an awful name like, “Bassie, Pet Bat for the American Soldier, Sergeant”.
The most important reason to name a pet bat after a dead soldier is to honor the man. If you get a pet bat for the man, then you should name it after him. And if you get a pet bat named after a dead soldier, then you should name it after the man who was a pet bat for him.
