I am convinced that people everywhere are concerned about pet owners not being able to walk on the sidewalks. I’m also convinced that many are also concerned about the potential for pet owners not walking the streets with their pet because of the level of fear that many people have of them.
If you have a pet it is probably a good idea to have them in a pet-friendly neighborhood, but that does not mean you should take the extra step of getting them salt-free sidewalk. The issue is that regular salt (in liquid form) is great for pet’s paws, but it is also a good thing to have on hand for humans. The best thing about sidewalk salt is that it is inexpensive.
Well, at least it’s inexpensive enough to not require any special dispensing. The first time I came across pet-friendly sidewalks, I went right to the source, the nearest health food store, and bought some sodium chloride.
