This article from the U.S. Department of Education’s School Improvement Data System provides some of the most fascinating data on school performance. They found that “Students who were reading the Bible (or reading it at least sometimes) were more likely to graduate from high school, and students who were reading the Bible were better-performing in math and English.

So what is the Bible? It’s the written Word of God. It’s what Jesus said would be his followers’ first book (Mark 1:16). It’s the only book that Jesus ever wrote, and every verse in it is true. It’s also the first book to be written in the language of that time. It was the first book that Jesus ever said had to be written in Aramaic (Mark 1:16-19) because the first three were in Greek.
