As a mom of a toddler and a teen, I’ve developed an inner child, and I don’t mean that in a good way. I mean that I’m a little more self-aware about myself than most people my age, and I just can’t seem to make up that inner child for the amount of attention it demands.
Its not just that I have the worst self-image. Its that I just don’t know how to control it. That Im a little bit of an emotional wreck sometimes, so I also sometimes just snap at people when things aren’t going my way. This sometimes leads to the classic “OMG your crying” incident. Or something like that.
I think the part of us that needs the most is the part that doesn’t need too much attention. The part that doesn’t need to be in control. The part that needs to be on autopilot. I have a theory that we’re all just a little bit of a mess, and when our brains want us to be something we’re not, we just snap. If I want to be a doctor, I would be an actual doctor.
The reason I said that is because we all can be a little bit of a mess. So we all have a tendency to snap at people that think we are not going to snap back. Thats why we are not a doctor. And even though all of us have to be on autopilot, we can still be a little bit on autopilot. We just have to learn to look back and say, “wait a minute…”.
Dr. Pet is an example of that. He is the protagonist of the game, and he is the one who snaps. But even though our brains are on autopilot, they are still very much aware of what happens next. They make a decision based on the last few seconds that we have known they were going to snap. The game’s story takes the idea of “autopilot” to a new level, and it is one of the most interesting things about the game.
As a person who spends a lot of his day either making money or watching movies, I am interested to see what happens. After all, we all have a day, and I’m sure many of you do as well. I’ve been watching a lot of movies lately, and in them I see a lot of characters who are on autopilot. They snap, but they don’t know what to do next. They’re not thinking about anything else but the moment.
The whole thing is a bit like a movie, but not really. This is what happens when people have their own lives and their own goals. They dont even realize they are on autopilot.
I hope you have heard the word autopilot before, because this is the word that most people use in regards to their lives. I don’t want to be one of those people; I feel very strongly about the importance of self-awareness and self-observation. I also understand that the word has been misused by some. I am trying to avoid it too and use the word self-awareness.
The problem is with using the word as a generalizing one. When people use autopilot in regards to their own lives, we realize they are not aware of their own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions. They are aware of external factors like the weather, but they are not self-aware. They aren’t aware of what they are doing and how they are doing it.
I think some people use the word in regards to a particular action or habit. For example, one of my clients has a habit of getting in a car at night. His car alarm goes off one night and he rolls down the windows. That’s a habit. I’m trying to avoid using the word habit because it gets people confused.
