I used to think that the fact that the rice was made from scratch would be a deal-breaker, but after playing with it for a few days I think its great. The grains of rice were the right consistency for this, and they still tasted just delicious. The broth was great too.

hange zoe is a Japanese restaurant chain that’s a favorite of mine because of their delicious food. I know it’s not exactly like youd expect, but I think its well worth sticking around for a good meal there. The rice was a little too hard and the broth a little too thick for my liking, but I cant complain as the food was great. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant is located in the lower East Side of NYC.
I got there early at 11:00am for an early lunch, and there were already a few people waiting for their food. The restaurant is located in a little shopping section of the Upper West Side of Manhattan, so you are walking on crowded sidewalks and there is definitely a lot of noise. I was told that the food is made using the same cooking methods as traditional Japanese restaurants.
The staff at the restaurant (and the rest of the food) were incredible. The chef and his assistant were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The food was fantastic, and the service very friendly and efficient. I don’t know if I would go back to this restaurant, but I might recommend it to others. It is on the Lower East Side and has a smallish crowd.
