Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful animals in our lives – in general, and in specific to my wife and my canine companions. It’s a day that most would associate with love, but this one also expresses the bond between humans and pets.
Pet ownership is a great way to get some good PR that benefits you. Pets are also a great way to keep your family from having to deal with so much stress. My wife is a huge animal lover and I have even started a “pet etiquette” blog that helps cats and dogs deal with their first day of school.
The dog, of course, is one of the best tools we have to keep our family from ending up stressed out. We all have pets. We just generally tend to think we don’t need to keep them all in the home. I have two dogs (yes, two dogs), but neither of us have ever considered giving either of them a day off. A day off is usually scheduled on the last weekend before school starts, which means we have to work this weekend and then have a few days to get things ready for school. Like we said, dogs may not want to be with you. However, in the case of pet owners, this may be worse. If you leave your pet alone to run around the house by itself all day, it may not know how to be a dog and have a happy life. And that is not healthy. However, if you take your pet on a walk, then you are basically taking your pet out of your control.
