I’m not really a “heals” kind of person. I’m more of a “heals me” kind of person. But I’m definitely not a “heal him” kind of person either. I think it’s an interesting topic and I think it’s one that I’m going to have to think about a lot more.
Okay, I’m not a healer. I’m just an amateur healer of sorts.
I think a lot of people have a hard time with the idea of being a healer. I think there is a lot of resistance when a person says they are, and many people think that because they have experienced what they are, they should be able to heal.
I think this is another one of those things that is a bit of a cop-out, but it is not. There is a lot of resistance to healing the wounds of others. People don’t like to be told that they can’t heal. Healing the person who needs it is almost an “I don’t care” attitude.
People often get attached to the idea that they are a healer. Why do you think this is so? Is it because you have done it before and you are a professional? Or is it because you have a certain way of looking at the world and you think there is a place for you in healing? I think the reasons are different and both come from the same place. A healer is someone who has experienced real suffering and has gained a level of mastery in what they can do to heal.
A healer is also someone who has experience with a skill that they have learned from their own life experience; one example might be reading a book or working out with weights. The idea that someone with those skills should be a healer is almost a given, but here we are talking about a way of looking at the world that is very different; and the reason why might be related to the above.
Healers have always been sought after for their ability to heal a wide variety of ailments, ranging from headaches to broken bones to broken hearts to illnesses that even the best doctors will never cure. The healing skills of healers are so valuable because they save lives. If your friend has a broken arm, you can put your arm back together, but that doesn’t mean your friend can walk, so you need a healer.
And now that we’ve seen the trailer, we can finally put our hands on the game and start playing it. It’s coming out this holiday, but you can check it out here. I’d personally recommend The Healer first, because it seems like every game that features healing is going to have to have at least one.
The game begins with a scene in which we meet our main character, Colt Vahn, and he tells us that he’s been awake for about ten years. This is a bit of a spoiler, but after we get through the main story we learn that Colt has been working with the Visionaries, the party-goers who lock their island into one repeating day, and the Visionaries have been taking turns using him as a guinea pig.
Colt comes back in time to an unnamed city in the south. A man named Morn, a Visionary and a somewhat shady character who has the ability to heal others, tells Colt that he needs to return to the city and fix whatever is wrong. He then tells Colt that he will have to use some equipment that has been stolen from him. Colt is unsure of what to do next, so he goes back to his apartment to talk to Morn.
