When I first started to work in the home improvement industry, I thought it was the best thing that ever happened to me. I thought I was a great person, I thought I was a good salesperson, I thought I was an honest person, I thought I was a good person. After spending 30 years in the industry, I realized that the realizations I had all along didn’t make me a better person.

Now, I have to say that I don’t think it’s the best thing ever that happened to me. Its not that I’m not a good person. I’m just so used to working in a very sterile environment, that I forget that people love to play.

There are probably a lot of people out there reading this who probably feel the same way. Maybe you’ve been in the corporate work world for years and just started to realize that life is more than just work. Maybe you’ve started to question some of the things you’ve been doing your entire career, and you’ve begun to question the work you’ve been doing.
