It’s true that technology has done a lot to change the world but I’m not convinced that technology is inherently good or bad. Some things work better with technology than others and some things just work better without it. In the end, nothing is perfect.
Well, this one is about the tech-savvy synonyms for the word’synonyms’ in general. Although I’m sure I’ll get to that in a bit, I’ll just say that I agree with the concept that technology can be a very powerful tool but it is a tool and shouldn’t be used as a replacement for people.
Im not sure if its true that when something is built in a perfect way, its always perfect. Im sure it can be a “good” thing to have, but Im also sure that things work in ways where there are flaws, and people dont use them as a replacement for a perfect design. Its like when you get a new car, you dont replace the engine with a better one, instead you use it as a tool to make other modifications.
I think the same thing applies to technology. When you build something new, you should use it as a tool to make other modifications. The way I see it, the more we learn, the more we discover, the better we should be at making decisions. As it is now, we have a lot of information, and we have a lot of assumptions on how the world works, and we make decisions based on these assumptions.
For some people this doesn’t work, and they don’t make the best decisions. For them technology has become a tool for achieving goals. For my part, I tend to agree, and I think we should all learn from each other.
There’s a whole school of thought called cognitive ergonomics that says that the more you know you have, the more you also know you don’t know. You get to the point where you have to ask yourself if your actions will actually be effective. That’s why I like to keep my tech savvy synonyms at a minimum.
There are a lot of good reasons to not just use technology for your own personal goals. After all, one of the biggest reasons I gave up on my iPhone was that my phone was too small to do everything I needed it to do. In other words, I was forced to learn something new each time I started using it. That’s not to say that I wouldnt do the same thing if I had to.
I know the same goes for you, so I won’t point you to some technical jargon that will probably make you look like a moron at this point. I’ll just point you to two that are worth mentioning though. One is “software”. Essentially, software is the software you use on your computer or smartphone to accomplish a purpose. You’d be surprised how many folks confuse software with functionality.
