Not to put too much pressure on yourself, but this is the best guide to what you should do with your new construction home. I hope you have been able to see what you should avoid and what you should take extra measures for. If you are still unsure, I have compiled the following list, but feel free to add additional pointers in the comments below.
There are two types of painting options that homeowners can choose to paint their new construction home. These are the painting options that use paint strippers, and the ones that use water-based paints. I have found that the cheapest water-based paints are the best, at around $20 each. The biggest advantage water-based paints have is that they won’t chip or peel if you use a paper towel to wipe your project.
This is because the paint stripper will actually strip the paint on your project. This is also a good reason why you shouldn’t apply water-based paints to a wood surface, since the stripper will actually cause the wood to peel as well.
This is probably one of the main reasons that I prefer using water-based paints. For me, the only advantage water-based paints have is the fact they are safe for most surfaces. If you have a small space or a flat surface, water-based paints work great. The other advantage water-based paints have is the fact that they are easy on the budget.
I’m not sure I agree with that last statement. Water-based paints aren’t very easy on the budget, but if you have a small space and you want to paint it, it’s certainly doable.
