I am so tired of hearing about how great virginia tech is. I love Miami, but I am not a tech nerd. I am a huge fan of the Miami Heat. I am a bit of a Miami Heat fan, but I am not a fan of the current regime.

What is the problem here? Well, this is not like the last time we saw a white male in this position; last time it was an Asian-American man, this time it is a woman.
In this case, this is a very specific problem. In tech, there are a few key areas that are not inclusive of all people. I find it extremely ironic that the CEO of a company whose product is used by the president of the country whose own company he founded (as an example) is a woman.

This is a trend that is starting to happen all over the tech industries.

I can’t believe that someone would have a reason to say something like this in a tech company. What is going on with these women in tech? The only reason I can think of is that these tech companies still have a long way to go in terms of gender equality in the tech sector. It is also possible that the reason Breschs is making a statement like this is because she feels that no one else is saying something like this.
I’ve always liked the idea of a CEO of a tech company being a little bit of a hothead. It does make sense that a CEO would have to be a little bit of a hothead. But still, Breschs is in the forefront of most of these comments, so if her behavior is bad, most of her critics will be coming after her.
The tech industry is a hotbed of hypocrisy. Many companies treat gender equality as a priority while their employees treat it as a big, fat joke. Many of the leaders in the tech industry make statements like this and the more they say they do, the more they are looked to as a hero. But if you look at their actual actions, the tech industry is not a bastion of equality.
We have a long history of these sort of comments. In the 1990’s, these types of comments were commonplace. In the mid-2000s, they started happening more often. Then the 2000s were a decade of huge inequality in almost all sectors of the economy. It seems as though there is a general trend that we are moving towards a more equal society. I’m not saying that this trend is good, but I am saying that it’s a trend that we should be more aware of.
