The idea that you could bring up a pet like that, knowing how much it has already been discussed on this site, is a bit off-putting. For one thing, koalas are a real endangered species. They are listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species as Critically Endangered. Koalas are also classified as Endangered under the United Nations’ Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.
The idea of a pet being able to be a pet is an interesting one, even with koalas. I’m not sure that’s a good idea, but I think it’s probably true that koalas are a real endangered species.
There is some evidence that koalas are being deliberately killed by poachers. However, there are also reports that koalas live in groups and that this is a natural behavior.
Koalas are great pets, but I think the concept of turning them into small pets seems a little, uhhh, crazy. I mean if you are going to turn one of the world’s most endangered animals into a pet, what makes you think you’re going to kill it? And what happens if you turn that pet into a dog or a cat? Just because you can makes it an animal, not a pet.

I mean, if you have a koala and a pet rat and a pet chicken, you’re going to have a big pile of meat that you can feed to the world. You can’t kill a koala, so you have to use a different method to kill them.

For most people, koalas are the source of their food and they are not the ones that attack people, but they are still a good source of animal protein. The problem is that koalas are so rare, and so hard to get, that it doesn’t really make much sense to kill them. The only way to kill them is to poison them, which is fairly easy, but it is a terrible way to feed a global population.
I agree. The point is that koalas are an endangered species, which makes them worth killing. That said, they are not the only, or even the most rare, animals on Earth. There are lots of other animals with smaller ranges and smaller populations that are far more valuable than koalas.
