Clemson, VA Tech is a great school with a great reputation for academics and great opportunities. There are plenty of good colleges in the area, so there are always good opportunities to get a degree. The most important thing about applying to Clemson is the quality of the applications. I know from experience that if you send in a well-organized application that it helps to have made sure that the information is accurate.
I know I’m only a little bit biased (or maybe it’s just me who’s biased), but Clemson is known for its applications (and I, along with everyone else, have applied to every school there has to offer), and it’s also known for being one of the most competitive of the “other” schools, especially in the engineering programs.
I’ve always found Clemson to be one of the most competitive school’s when it comes to getting the most well-qualified applicants to apply. It’s a known fact that it’s always been one of the best schools to get into engineering, it just kind of keeps it that way.
As I mentioned in my previous post, Ive applied to Clemson about eight times and failed each time. Ive found the process of getting in to engineering is quite similar. You basically submit applications to every other Clemson school, then an interview. Ive applied to Clemson for the first time this past fall because Ive been dying to try out the engineering program. Ive applied to the engineering program, but the admissions office told me its a “bad idea.
Thats because the engineering program is a pretty big pile of poop. You basically have to be a white-male with a 3.6 GPA, and you have to have a lot of other shit you dont really need or want in order to get into this program. Its basically all about the prestige and the fancy degrees. As for me, Ive realized that I wanted the prestige and the fancy degrees. I dont think the engineering program is that great.
The admission office is pretty bad at describing it. You have to take a bunch of courses, which you might not actually need, and it has to be the most competitive engineering program in the country. In fact, Ive heard from some people whove been accepted that its actually pretty hard to get in because the engineering program is so competitive.
