I’ve recently found that pet carriers are very convenient and practical. While they’re not as convenient as a car seat, they are still a great way to transport and contain your pet. The only downside is that they don’t fold down completely, so they can’t be used as a regular carrier.
With collapsible dog carriers, their size, shape, and weight are far less of an issue. A collapsible carrier will also fit over the back of your bike, for example. The carrier will probably also keep your cat in a better place and will give your pet more room to explore.
I don’t remember there being any downsides to a collapsible dog carrier. We did end up with one of those, but it was for our cat. That said, I am still not sure why we even bothered. We have a cat and dog. We’re not going to take the risk of accidentally transporting a dog or cat.
