The craigslist rockford post was originally a blog about life in Rockford, Illinois. In the post, a guy who lived in Rockford, Illinois, posted a picture of a rock with some of his rock memorabilia. The post generated a lot of interest among the community and eventually the post was featured on craigslist. A few months later, the post was taken down for posting copyrighted material. This is the first time I’ve heard of the post being taken down.
This is a relatively recent example of a craigslist post being taken down for copyright-infringement. The first time I heard of the post being taken down, I remember thinking that the craigslist rules are a little unclear. I wonder if the Rockford post was taken down because someone had a personal vendetta against craigslist, or if it was simply taken down because someone decided that the post was a little too controversial.
A couple years ago I posted some of my own thoughts on the craigslist rules. I thought, “Well, I don’t like people taking down a blog post or something.
Well, no one was taking it down.
