This is a big one for me. I have to assume that most of you have been touched in some way by the pets in your life, and they must have been some pretty special ones. Whether you have a dog, cat, or other animal, you may want to consider donating your favorite pet supplies to a rescue or other organization that can make a difference.
In the past I’ve donated a lot of clothes and toys, but for some reason I decided to donate the pet supplies instead. This one is a little harder, because I don’t know that much about the animals in my life, but there are many local animal shelters that would be more than happy to accept donations of pet supplies. They are often small, local charities that find homes for abandoned or sick animals.
Since Ive only given a few days worth of supplies to shelters, they could easily get a lot more than 8. I’m sure if you donate to them, they will have the money to buy a ton of pet food. It also gives them a platform to sell to other shelters, who could help to feed the animals in their care.
If you don’t want to donate to these smaller animal shelters, you can also send an email to the shelter’s website where they will accept money to buy goods for the shelter. This is a good idea, because it gives them a way to sell to other shelters and gives them the money to buy food.
You can send an email to the website, but they will only approve donations from the shelter’s own members and you will probably get a rejection. I’ve emailed the website, but will not be able to send them actual money (I’ll be buying a bottle of wine). If you are able to send the money, please send it to the shelter’s office as soon as you can, because I’ll be spending it tonight.
There is a limit of $100 per animal. If the shelter accepts your donation, they will ship your donation out. If the shelter refuses it will take it to the shelter’s nearest office. Ive sent them a couple of emails, but Ill have not received a response.
If you are able to donate, Ill send you a reply with a link to our website. We are working right now to get it to you.
If you can’t donate, Ill make you a donation to the shelter.
The shelter is located in the Bronx, New York. It’s a tiny, tiny shelter, so we don’t have a ton of resources. But we do have dogs, cats, reptiles, etc. Ive sent a couple of emails to the shelter, and Ill post the link in the next post, but Ill also make a donation to them.
We were very sad to hear about the death of our founder and one of the most talented members of the team. But it is a small part of what Ill be doing with Arkane games. So if you can donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
