My friend and fellow food blogger, Lisa, has launched a new brand, Holotaco. The name refers to the three levels of self-awareness that are necessary to create a healthy diet: (1) seeing the food as food, (2) knowing what we’re eating, and (3) understanding how much we’re eating.
It’s the first time I’ve heard the term “holo” used outside of the context of food, which is a pretty interesting concept. It’s like the first time you hear the term “lucid dreaming.
I think the whole “holo” thing is pretty awesome, but I think there’s something missing: It’s not just about the food we eat (what is it that makes us think that). The fact that we can’t see the food is just as important as what we’re eating. But when you’re eating, you’re also eating a lot of calories.
Well, I guess the only thing missing from holo taco is the taco flavor. Its like its missing the taste of the taco itself. Maybe its just me, but I keep getting a little bit of the taco flavor in my mouth and I can’t figure out why.
A taco is a taco, so what are we talking about? The taste is there, its just that the taco is missing the flavor. I think its because youre eating taco, which has a flavor. If youre eating a taco that has the taco flavor, then youre probably eating a Taco Bell. But if youre eating something else, which has the taco flavor, you could be eating a taco taco taco.

It does have a few redeeming features, like its spicy. But mainly it just tastes like every other taco that has ever been made in our lifetime, and it isn’t really all that bad. Because its taco, it isn’t really a taco. Its a taco that has been sitting in a hot car for five minutes.
