The fact is that the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
The problem is when were on autopilot for so long that we forget were on autopilot. Because when were not even aware of our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions, then we no longer control them they control us. Whereas a person with self-awareness is able to exercise a little meta-cognition and say, «Hmm… every time my sister calls me and asks for money, I end up drinking a lot of vodkas.
It is true that we tend to forget our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions when they’re not even in our conscious awareness. That’s why we don’t think about them and do things to avoid ourselves.
In the end, we are only human. So, that means we can only control our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions if we can first control our own minds. Self-awareness is something that our brains know to do because the brain is the control center in our bodies. If we can control our own minds, then we can control our own habits, routines, impulses, and reactions.
Self-awareness involves knowing how we think, feel, and behave. It involves knowing who we are and being able to articulate these things. In other words, it involves having the ability to “be yourself.
Self-awareness has two components. The first is what we call “autopilot.” This is the part of us that is just there, doing what we want to do, and not thinking about anything. Autopilot is a good thing because it means that we are able to control our thoughts and actions before we realize what we are doing, which is good because we can make better choices if we don’t have to think about what we are doing.
The second component is self-awareness. This is the part of ourselves that is thinking about how we were thinking, how we were feeling, what we were thinking about, what we were thinking about, and what we were thinking about. Self-awareness is what allows us to choose what to think about and how to think about that. Some people are able to be self conscious in the ways that others are unable, and so the ability to be self-aware is extremely valuable.
Self-awareness and being self-aware is the ability to control our thoughts, feelings, and actions. When we are self-aware, we can then apply this self-awareness to how we act, what we think, what we are, and all the other aspects of our lives.
Self-awareness is a key characteristic of all consciousness. A simple definition of consciousness is the ability to be aware of our own thoughts, feelings, and actions. To be consciousness, you don’t have to know anything about you or the world you live in. You are just aware of what you are and what you can do, and you have the ability to do those things. Self-awareness allows us to control thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Our self-awareness is not only about how we think, feel, and behave, it is also about how we feel about ourselves. We are aware that we are intelligent, caring, compassionate, powerful, self-aware, and most of all beautiful. When we are aware of these qualities, we are conscious of ourselves.
