I feel privileged to be able to show my dogs here in Arlington, but I also feel privileged to have the opportunity to show my dog here at the 2017 pet expo in Arlington.
Yes, it’s cool to see your dogs in the pet expo. It’s awesome to see them in person. And I mean that in the best way possible. My dog Zoe, my first one, was a sweet dog. I’m sure she will be a sweet dog for many more years. But I’m also very excited about this expo because I have a great dog in my life, and not just in my furry children.
It seems like the Arlington expo has come full circle, with pets all the way in. I was there last year for the first time, and when I brought my dog Zoe she was so adorable and friendly that I felt bad for not bringing her. Then I got a phone call from my vet, and I was like, “You know what? I have to go. She’s not in the dog park anymore.
Zoe has been a dog since I last saw her, and now she is going to be one more member of my family for a while. She doesn’t seem to understand people, but I’m sure she will be a wonderful companion for years to come.
Zoe was the first of my pets to move to the country in 2016, and as a bonus she has a perfect relationship with the only other dog there – a German Shepherd named Daisy. Zoe, Daisy, and Zoe’s brother, Zoe’s sister, Zoe’s family, and Zoe’s friends (including Zoe’s sister Zoe’s parents) have all been together ever since. It’s a wonderful group of furry friends.
After moving here in 2016, Zoe suddenly became a huge pain in the ass. She was constantly getting into fights with other dogs in the house, and would also get stuck in the laundry room and forget where she was. Her owners tried to get her to go to a dog park, but she refused. Finally, one day, her owner brought her to an animal shelter and was told that she was adopted.
Zoe was adopted and has since been living with her new owner, Zoes sister. She’s a fluffy orange-and-white husky who is very friendly and loyal to everyone. She’s not a mean dog by any means, but she has a short temper and does not take well to being around new people.
I like Zoe. I really do. She is the only dog I know that has ever gotten along with me. I have a bunch of dogs and I just can’t get along with any of them. When I had Zoe, I would just go on a lark and not even think about it. I think if I was in a dog park, I would be there right now.
I still cannot understand why the dog park owners treat it like a dog park. It’s like they want people to get away from them in their own back yard.
There is a lot of room for dogs in the park, and it’s the pets who need to get out of their space. If dogs are in the park, they obviously have to be on the leash. However, there’s no space for dogs to run freely as humans, so they’ll have to be on a leash, which is kind of a big deal. I’m not sure how much I like it.
