However, sometimes the most important technological breakthroughs are the ones that are made by ordinary people. With that in mind, I thought it would be fun to list some of the more noteworthy breakthroughs that people have made throughout history.

They are doing things that you can’t do at home, but you can and should.

Stallman is an advocate of free software and has made a lot of contributions to the FSF in the past.
