I left a tech job 3 years ago, and now I have a new job working for a startup. This lead is about my experience at the company, the people I was working with, and the people I am working with now. I want people to know they are not alone.
As a former engineer, I feel a lot of guilt about leaving a job. I was an idealistic nerd and programmer who wanted to change the world. It is a very sad feeling when you hear that your ideals have no place in the world. I didn’t realize that for a long time, because I was so used to staying in a safe job where we didn’t have to worry about the outside world or talk about religion.
In the early 90s I started going to a tech job, and when I stopped asking for a raise, I decided to work from home. I had been working for a company for a few years when the company went into bankruptcy and all my co-workers left. I started my own company, which was pretty successful, but was just too small to attract the talent I wanted to attract. I started working with a bunch of other people to keep it alive.
Today, the tech industry is booming, but it’s not nearly as big as it was back in the early 90s when I started working here. Today, many companies are much bigger than they were back then, and most of them are still surviving. In the early 90s, when I started working here, there was nothing for people to do. It was a tech job, and you just had to get up every day, do your job, and be there for your co-workers.
That’s completely backwards. Back then, tech was the thing that was supposed to be fun and exciting, and that was supposed to be the thing that kept people working. Today, tech is a job that you have to do because you’re required to work overtime, because you have to spend more money to have enough money to pay your bills, or because your employer has to pay for your health insurance.
There are many reasons why tech is a job that you have to do, and tech leads are only one of those reasons. The fact is that tech leads have a lot more responsibility than ever before because the world is changing so rapidly. More and more companies are requiring themselves to recruit tech leads, and that means that the new lead is now responsible for hiring new workers and maintaining their department.
To be clear, the tech lead is not the person with the most responsibility. It is the person that is the most likely to help the company grow and survive, and that is in fact the person that is the most likely to be let go.

This means that the tech lead is not necessarily the one with the most responsibility.
