We’ve heard these excuses before and we’ve never been able to convince ourselves that we have a reliable source for pet food. While there are plenty of “tractor supply stores” that offer high-quality pet food, they’re generally not very reliable. We’ve tried some of them and they have some pretty big problems, like the fact that they only provide dog and cat food.
We recently ran across a few pet supply stores that we really liked. Weve heard before that these stores mostly cater to the pet food and dog and cat food segment of our pet food market. Thats pretty much the same thing that we do. Weve tried a few of these stores and they have some pretty big problems. For one, unlike other pet stores, they don’t sell any human food, which is the other major problem.
The pet food companies do sell a limited number of human food that they call pet food. Theyve chosen to use the human food as the base and mix in some pet food to get these pet food companies up to speed in the pet food segment.
And the pet food companies are still paying a premium for pet food that is specifically marketed to pet owners. This is because pet parents are spending more money on food for their pets than they are on food for themselves. So these companies are paying more for pet food that they are not even selling to pet parents.
Pet food is just another form of business and as the economy gets more complex it increasingly falls on the shoulders of one company or many to provide us with our most basic needs. We’ve grown our own food, we’ve started our own businesses, and we’ve worked with companies and businesses who provide us with a variety of other food options. We still rely on the same companies to provide us with our basic needs.
And that’s why we need more pet food. There are companies that provide us with a variety of pet food options, for example the companies that provide us with our pet foods. But there are more companies out there that provide us with a variety of other food options. With more companies providing us with a variety of food options, we’re becoming a lot less dependent on a single company.
