This October, the West Michigan Pet Expo, is hosting its 4th annual pet Expo to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Pet Expo in West Michigan, now in its 25th year. The Expo is scheduled to be held at the St. Joseph Health & Rehab Center from October 2rd to October 6th, which is the day that Michigan’s pet adoption center opens. The Expo will be a great opportunity to introduce you to the pets of West Michigan, as well as the new Pet Expo.
The Expo will be held at St. Joseph Health amp Rehab Center, 502 W. Michigan Ave., west of I-75 and I-696 (just a couple miles from downtown Detroit). I spoke with a few pet owners who have pets coming into the facility from out of state and they seemed to be really excited about the Expo. It’s also a great opportunity for new pet owners to check out the facility and meet some of the veterinarians at work.
The vet clinic is located adjacent to the main building so you can get to the clinic from the main building by coming through the front doors. The clinic is a pet-friendly facility, and the vets at work are all friendly and helpful. I spoke with a couple owners of pets who are coming into the clinic from out of state who said the clinic is easy to navigate, and you can pretty much walk in and find the clinic in just a couple seconds.
The clinic has a free walk-up pet-sitting service. Pet owners are given a card, drop in, they call, pay, and you’re on your way. This sounds like it could be a great way to get your pet-owned pet to come visit you. However, I don’t know if you can actually get your pet there, or if it’s just for the owners of the dogs and cats, and not the people who bring their pets in from out of town.
The clinic also has a huge sale of pet equipment and supplies. The sale will run through the end of the year and the pet owner will be able to buy the equipment for $100 off. If you do end up buying the equipment, you will need to sign up for the pet-sitting service, which includes a pet-sitting discount, and a $5 deposit. (If you dont want to sign up for this service, the pet-sitting discount is free.
The pet expo is an awesome opportunity for the pet owner to show off their pet in an affordable setting. The clinic is a small, cozy meeting space for the pet owner, the people who bring in their pets, the staff, and the volunteers who work there. The clinic also offers a discounted pet food item, and a pet gift basket with all the necessary supplies.

You know, I have a pet that I’d like to take with me. I really want to go see the expo. I love getting involved in animal advocacy in the city. I do work for a non-profit that focuses on animal issues. So I’m interested in this expo. I really, really am. I love to watch people interacting with their animals and talking about them.
