For example, one of the most popular teepees is the one made by the makers of the Sleepless in Seattle teepee. The designers of the Sleepless teepee decided to go with a larger, more sturdy design because they were concerned that a child might not be able to climb up the sides of their teepee.
My pet bed tepee looks like the perfect size for a two-year-old, and the teepee-like design makes it very easy to climb up from the ground. For some reason though, I don’t find it very comfortable to climb up the sides of the tepee, so I don’t have the same level of confidence that I’d like to have.
The creators of the Sleepless teepee thought that their design was too small for a two-year-old, and instead went with a larger design. Not sure how they felt about that.
I like the look of the teepee, but I am not a huge fan of the design. There are a couple things I am not exactly happy with (like the way the design prevents the teepee from getting any kind of airflow except for what is trapped up in the sides).
I would say that the teepee is more of a problem than a design problem. The teepee is, by design, so small that the top of the teepee cannot breathe. This is why I find it so hard to get comfortable with the teepee. There is a lack of airflow and it feels restrictive. I’m not sure if the design will be fixed or not, but it is something to keep in mind.
