So imagine this: you’re in your home’s garage and you’ve just finished painting. You are ready to dust down the walls and put away those tools. You’re not too crazy about the paint job, but you’re not going to go back and start over. You just want to get that final touch on the walls. You want to get the whole house looking like your favorite place in the world.

You want to paint your walls in a way that lets you see the whole, the whole and the whole of your home, but the best way to do this is with a paint that has a neutral tint and so the walls are more easily seen through.
This is an easy one. I’m a huge believer in using neutral colors in interior decorating. The problem is that many of these neutral colors don’t sit right on a black background. You want the ceiling to be white or gray to highlight the black of your walls. You want the floor to be a neutral color and the walls a neutral color. Once you get those two colors in balance, you’ll have your walls looking great.
All of these things are easy to accomplish with a neutral paint. However, you do need to know how to add light and dark to the paint to make it look more like a room (or house), since neutral colors do not have to be very light or dark. This is where the paint industry has been a bit of a mess. In the past, there were so many paints that had the same color that they were basically the same color, but they had subtly different tones of tone.
To get around that, a lot of the paint companies made a “hue” or “saturation” adjustment where they made their paint look lighter at the same time they made it darker. It was a way to balance the colors in a color, but it was a bit of a pain for homeowners to keep track of. So the industry took off with the “paint brush” and now you can color a paint in any color you want with ease.

While I think the pet teepee idea is a really good one, please don’t paint your home with patterned patterns because it can be really difficult to get the right one. There are too many variables that go into it. When I paint the outside of the house, there are a lot of variables that can go into it, too.
