I have been tattooing for over 10 years and honestly I don’t know where it’s gotten me. Tech tattoos are the result of a process that started in college when I was a graphic design major. I didn’t have access to a tattoo parlor or a computer program to do the tattooing, so I would sit down at a computer and go to Google, find a tattoo artist, and get ink on my hand.
This is a good question because I’ve never heard of anyone getting a tattoo for any other reason, and I’m no expert when it comes to technology. I’m just guessing here.
I think a lot of people get tattoos for the same reason as I do. For some people, it is an extension of their personality, for others it is a way to remember them. Ive been to a lot of tattoo parlors, and although I have seen some great artists, they are few and far between. The same goes for artists who work in the more expensive tattoo industry.

People have tattoos that they would rather not have, and those are the same people who often choose not to take them when they see them in the store. If you can get a tattoo that you really like and it is something that you would want to keep forever, then I say take it. And by “not take it,” I mean get it and let a friend or family member take it.

But if you can make a living doing it, and then keep yourself interested until you have a new tattoo, then you can make a living from it.
Tech tattoos are a fairly recent trend in tattoo design and they’re a bit more of a trend than a new fashion item, at least in the US. So, if you’re not a tattoo artist, and you don’t have your own studio, then tech tattoos are probably hard to get into. But you can probably get into them.
